Notice of Upcoming Traffic Disruption in Borroloola

Roper Gulf Regional Council wish to advise residents of Borroloola of upcoming Traffic Management Training which will take place on Robinson Road next week. Traffic control will be in place during the training and motorists are advised to follow traffic direction and drive safely. 

Traffic Management plans provided below. 

Date: Tuesday 31 January 2023 (starting at 10:30am) and Wednesday 01 February 2023 (starting from 8:00am)

Location: Robinson Road, Borroloola

Who: Community Development Program (CDP) participants and Batchelor Institute trainers.

Notes:

  1. Traffic controllers shall close the lane and alternate the flow of traffic in the remaining open lane.
  2. 3m lane widths to be maintained at all times. Work area shall be delineated at 4m spacings. Safety buffer 15m.
  3. Access to surrounding properties to be maintained at all times with training personnel and students to render assistance as required.
  4. Minimum clearance to moving traffic; 50km/h = 1.2m.
  5. Lane closure must be installed outside of peak times at school.
  6. Traffic Controller to ensure safe movement of traffic and pedestrians through the area and maintain safe and effective movement of workers and equipment in and around the designated work zone.
