
Roper Gulf Regional Council is pleased to announce Olga Daniels as the new Councillor for the Yugul Mangi Ward.
Following a contested election, Ms Daniels was declared elected by the Northern Territory Electoral Commission on 25 June 2026 and was officially sworn in at today's Ordinary Meeting of Council, held in Ngukurr on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
Mayor Tony Jack welcomed Councillor Daniels to Council and acknowledged the important role elected members play in representing their communities.
“On behalf of Council, I would like to warmly welcome Councillor Daniels and congratulate her on her election to the Yugul Mangi Ward,” Mayor Jack said.
“Councillors play a vital role in ensuring the voices of their communities are heard and reflected in Council's decision-making. We look forward to working with Councillor Daniels as we continue to deliver services, advocate for our communities and support positive outcomes across the region.”
Councillor Daniel’s election completes Council representation for the current term and supports Council’s ongoing focus on delivering services, advocacy and leadership across the Roper Gulf region.
