Roper Gulf Regional Council is pleased to announce the official completion of Stage 2 of the Mataranka Waste Management System upgrade.
This milestone project delivers a major boost to the local infrastructure servicing Roper Gulf Regional Council’s office, Aged Care facilities, and public amenities in the central block of Mataranka.
The upgrade includes the installation of a Fujiclean CE6000 Waste Water Treatment Plant, a new trade waste arrestor, a sewer pump station tie-in, and a rising main connecting to the upgraded system.
The new system ensures:
Compliance with all current septic waste management regulations and standards
Improved performance during the wet season, addressing past issues
Operational savings, with no pump-outs required for the next four years
Council’s Director of Infrastructure Services, Luke Haddow, said the upgrade reflects Council’s ongoing commitment to delivering modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions across the region.
“The new system supports improved service delivery, reduces ongoing costs, and provides an environmentally responsible solution for wastewater management.”
Council would like to thank all contractors, stakeholders, and community members for their patience and support during the upgrade process.
