Roper Gulf Regional Council is excited to welcome Melissa Andrews-Wurramarrba as the newly appointed representative (Councillor) for the Yugul Mangi Ward.
The nomination process concluded on Monday, 2nd December, with the appointment officially resolved during recent Ordinary Meeting held in Katherine on Wednesday, 4th December.
Mayor Tony Jack welcomed the new Councillor, emphasising the importance of strong community representation.
“Having Melissa Andrews-Wurramarrba join our team is a great step forward for the Yugul Mangi Ward and the broader region”, said Mayor Jack.
“Her enthusiasm and commitment to her community will help ensure we continue to deliver for the people we serve.”
With Melissa Andrews-Wurramarrba now part of Council, the Roper Gulf Regional Council continues its focus on improving services, supporting local initiatives, and fostering community development throughout the region.
