Round one of the Roper Gulf Regional Council Community Grants Program for the 2022-23 financial year is now open!

The Community Grants Program aims to encourage and support community initiatives that respond to local needs and enhance community wellbeing, culture and quality of life.

Eligible applicants can seek funding of up to $5,000 to support local projects, events or activities that take place within the Roper Gulf region or are of benefit to people living in the region.

Mayor Tony Jack looks forward to seeing which projects and events the Council will support through this round of funding.

“We had a really good response to the last round of funding earlier in the year and I was proud to see Council providing financial support to local people and local organisations with great ideas to help the region”, said Mayor Jack.

“We’ve made the application process easier this time by building the application form online through our new website.

“I hope this helps more community mob to submit a funding application for local projects”.

Applicants are encouraged to read the Program Guidelines available on Council’s website to find out whether or not they are eligible to apply.

Applications will be open for one month, closing on Friday 09 September 2022 at 11:59pm.

To apply, visit Council’s website and head to the Community Grants Program page where you can fill in the online form.

Alternatively, you can send an email to grants@ropergulf.nt.gov.au or visit your local Council office for a paper copy of the form.
