Roper Gulf Regional Council are pleased to announce the 2018 Graduates receiving their Certificate III in Community Safety Night Patrol. All up the course had 14 graduates from various communities covering the Central Arnhem and Roper Region. The students were honored at a special Charles Darwin University graduation ceremony on November 27.
Community Safety Patrols play a vital part in minimising antisocial behavior and alcohol abuse in communities in the Roper Gulf region, and the qualification provided the staff with a nationally-recognised pathway to add capacity to the Council’s service delivery.
While was not easy leaving their Communities and family for a week almost every month, the students worked hard to complete the course and graduate. Roper Gulf Regional Council is very proud of the following Staff members:
Grant NUNDHIRRIBALA
Calice HAMMOND TAPAU
Preston WURRAMARA
Dennis BRAUN
Adrian ROPER BROWN
Shaunette MUMBIN
Cyrus NGALMI
Eddie OENPELLI
Elvena WHITE
Freddy JACKSON
Neil HODGSON
Mark HOGAN
Heath THOMPSON
Gary HUDDLESTON
Also a special mention to Dakota Oxenham and Donna Donzow for always transporting these Officers to and from their communities, organising accommodation and supporting them through their course.
Some of the graduates were unable to attend due to the travel distance and other person reasons, but they were still highly recognised for their achievements.
