An exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified, highly organised and experienced professional to join our team in the position of Senior Projects Coordinator based in Katherine, NT.
In this role, you will provide a high level technical support on project delivery activities for capital works across all of Council’s infrastructure programs to ensure delivery outcomes, including timing, budget and other associated objectives in accordance with best practices. You will support the management, monitoring and reporting of infrastructure project delivery, through implementation of best practice Project Management principles, including contract management support for Council's Capital Works Program and other infrastructure projects. More specifically, you will work with community based staff to ensure efficient and timely management of Local Authority projects across the region.
You will be successful for your Diploma in Engineering/Projects Management or related discipline, with considerable experience in project and construction management, or knowledge and skills acquired through completion of a degree. You will have demonstrated knowledge in project and construction management or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in the interpretation of legislative regulations and procedural guidelines. With a number of projects underway, you will have well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under strict deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail. Equally important are your excellent communication skills, proven track record in developing relationships by effectively managing the competing demands of a diverse stakeholders, and the ability to make sound decisions and exercise judgement within guidelines.
Salary
Level 7 indicative $89,815.88 to $98,823.49 per annum based on 38 hours per week (negotiated based on qualifications and experience).
