Human Resources Manager

Based in Katherine and reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services & Sustainability, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall workforce strategy with an emphasis on indigenous workforce initiatives, Industrial Relations, systems/process improvement and long term strategic planning.

You will also be the first point of reference for all issues and queries across the broader Human Resources (HR) spectrum including performance management, recruitment and retention, staff engagement, employee relations and all Fair Work based matters.

Tertiary qualified in Human Resources with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in workplace relations/human resources environment, you will have a strong generalist HR background including broad experience across IR and WHS and an excellent grasp of contemporary HR practices. A natural strategic thinker, you also understand the importance of 'rolling up the sleeves' and ensuring operational excellence. You will also be an active listener and keen to develop an empathy with and understanding of the unique Roper Gulf communities.
