Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking a passionate qualified veterinary nurse to work for a period of 3 months during our busy dry period based in Katherine NT. June 1- August 29, 2026.
The work will involve visiting remote aboriginal communities within the region to deliver on the ground care and veterinary surgical programs.
We are seeking a collaborative, empathetic and respectful veterinary nurse who can confidently adapt to unpredictable work environments.
Applicants will require:
- Minimum Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Demonstrated clinical and surgical experience
- Current Working with Children Clearance and National Police check
- Current Class C driver’s licence
Desirable:
- Experience working in aboriginal communities
- 4WD experience
Hourly rate is negotiable commensurate with experience. Starting rate $31.95per hour plus 25% casual loading.
