  • National Indigenous Tennis Carnival

    On the 29th of August, four youth from Numbulwar community attended that National Indigenous Tennis Carnival in Darwin. The three day event was entertaining and challenging for the four community members that attended.

  • 2019- 2020 Regional Plan

    The Roper Gulf Regional Council 2019-2020 Regional Plan is now completed. Staff at the Roper Gulf Regional Council Office’s in Barunga, Beswick, Bulman, Borroloola, Jilkminggan, Manyallaluk, Mataranka, Ngukurr and Numbulwar will be able to help you access the document.

  • Manyallaluk Access Road Works

    8 July 2019

    Please be advised that the Manyallaluk Access Road will be receiving maintenance grade works to provide a good running surface and cross fall free of corrugations, depressions and potholes. The works are due to commence on 09 July 2019 and are expected to be completed by 16 July 2019.

    The Roper Gulf Regional Council 2019-2020 Regional Plan is now publicly available for inspection and can be viewed at any Roper Gulf Regional Council Office in Barunga, Beswick, Bulman, Borroloola, Jilkminggan, Manyallaluk, Mataranka, Ngukurr and Numbulwar or via the link below for the next 21 days.

  • Let There Be Light

    The communities of Barunga and Ngukurr will benefit from a multi-million dollar oval lighting upgrade in the Roper Gulf region, thanks to a collaboration between the local Council and Northern Territory Government Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture.

  • Playground Projects

    New playgrounds infrastructure is currently being installed across the Roper Gulf Region in accordance with several grants provided by the Territory Government. With a combined funding totaling $479,000 (GST Exclusive), the new equipment will have a positive impact in a number of communities.
