Ngukurr Airport closure

Posted on

NO ACCESS: Ngukurr Airport will be closed from May 26 until June 1 to allow a resurfacing of the runway, taxiway and apron to be completed.

Airservices Australia has requested a NOTAM be issued for Ngukurr Airport (YNGU) to close the facility to all fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft from 6am on May 26 until 6pm on June 1.

The closure will allow contractors to resurface the runway, taxiway and apron, in addition to the reinstatement of line markings.

The access restriction does not apply to emergency services aircraft.

Alternative airstrips at Urapunga (YUPG) and Roper Bar (YRRB) will remain accessible during the closure.
